Do you believe in God?
I do. Maybe not in the way that everyone else does but certainly, I do. Glory be to the creator for giving me such a beautiful life. Working hard to make each sacrifice worth it.
I grew up in a sort of non traditional way. Knowing it was okay to love everyone and to lead with my heart. The moment I stopped seeking God in my life for one reason or another, my life changed. Not for the better. The space between where I was and where I wanted to be always seemed just out of reach. Always something between me and my dreams. Really that’s just growing up. Becoming bold enough not to settle. The realization that in this life you can do whatever you want.
The scary thing about that it is that it applies to both good and evil. War, greed and hunger. Choosing the good is not only the right thing to do it is the best thing to do. It is the only thing to do. Not to be dramatic but we see it all around, the evil. Its embedded in our systems and forced upon is in cruel and unethical ways. Good fights back, gradually. Good takes its time and heals us how we are supposed to be healed. It takes time but maybe if we all join in we can save the world before they burn it. Good is not perfection. Everything manmade is flawed, including man, and woman. We all matter, truly. Let’s treat each other like it. Who do I have to quote, John Lennon? Miguel? Rosa Parks?
The beginning of change starts with you. Treat yourself like you matter too, you are also included in “everybody”.
